Carl's Bio:

Carl Hybinette is a Technical Engineer, QA, and Consulting Services Manager with Salco Products for the last three years. Carl has more than forty years of experience, developing and with repairing procedures of hopper cars and tank cars, he conducts failure analysis, and establishes welding procedures. Carl determines a repaire or scrap analysis of in-plant equipment. He also defines service failures and their causes; some examples include detecting of; corrosion, mechanical damage, and fractures. Carl is an expert in providing consulting services to the railcar companies. He also supports manufacturing and repair facilities with productivity and organization. 

Salco History/Background:

Carl helped with the collaboration of Dow Chemical, Union Pacific and Union Tank Car and the Department of Transportation Federal Railroad Administration to compose a  publication on The Influence of Sulfur Concentration below 0.006% along with sulfide shape Control on the Charpy V-Notch of Normalized and Stress Relieved TC128 Grade B Steel Plate. 

Carl and his colleague successfully invented a patent called the Hybrid Laser Arc Welding System and a Method for Railroad Tank Car Fabrication. The pupose of the system is to be able to conduct the welding of the interior surface of a railroad tank shell. 

Carl is the grandson of Noak Victor Hybinette, inventor of the Electrolytic process of refining Nickel and the Manganese smelting process.
